After graduating with a degree in Finance from Texas A&M University, Sloan relocated to the mountains of Northern New Mexico.  There he started and ran a specialty retail Fly Fishing Store and Guide Service, served a term on the local Town Council and began his Real Estate brokerage career.  

This unique combination of experiences gives Sloan a special understanding of projects from all sides.

Sloan currently lives in Homewood, AL with his wife, daughter and two dogs.
